It looks like my advertising bill will be higher than usual this year as I’ve signed up for a couple of extra advertising contracts. I know advertising is tax deductable but is there an upper limit on what you can spend? I would rather see my money doing the business some good than just going to the Chancellor. ❓

    Re: Tax Question

    No limit, all is deductable.

However whether it’s cost effective is another matter, with the multitude of places to advertise nowadays in comparison to 10 years (even 20) ago its a debate in its own right… good luck

As far as I know advertising is one of thr few things you can claim 100 per cent for, As the IR can’t claim back any amount for personal use

    Re: Tax Question

it only means that the expense is not liable for tax but at the end of the day if still comes out of your gross profit. IE the taxman never pays for it as some people beleive that business expenses are paid for by the IR, biggest misconception in this context ive experienced with people.
