More likely the customer has lost track of time and it’s a lot older than she says.

When customer doesn’t clean the filter regularly, lint gets in between the front bearing seal and the drum; rolls up into a lump and can brake or completely jam the drum. Had this several times. Always worth removing the drum and cleaning round the seal. Also check for sticky or split jockey pulley. 😉
Phidom is right; her ‘2 years old’ for a TC480 is a little ‘economical’ shall we say?? 🙄 If its got the electric fan on the back in place of the ‘crossover’ green belt it’s probably 10 – 12 years++!! 😯
