Got a customer complaining of a Creda TCR2 tumble dryer that has a curiuos scraping sound only when it heats up.
I suspect its rubbing off back. Is there any modification for these, do you have to change the felt bearing at back & shaft & washer or someting?

Has it got the two plastic wheels at the front? If so they want throwing away. There is a kit to replace them complete with front & rear seals and four plastic bearing pads. Not sure of the number for the condenser dryer but I use the 1703080 V4 shaft kit for the vented dryers, it has all the bits you need.

No wheels, its a vented jobby, the stretch belt pulls down so hard on drum that it twists when going clockwise & scrapes off back wall of dryer.
Damn bad design of tumble dryer, most of them shear off shaft after a year, i saw nothing wrong with the old style drive system with, belt tensioners

    TCR 2 is a condenser dryer. 😕 ❓ 😕 Do you mean a TVR2 😆

There is a new drum assy to cure the vented dryer scraping problem, it has a rounded profile at the back.

    There is a TVR2 dryer BTW. 😉
