Hello, I have a hotpoint tdc62 which is not heating.

I have looked at previous posts and think I have narrowed it down to needing these components
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ucts_id=78

However, before I order anything I thought I’d run it by you guys first in case I have got it mega wrong.

Some wire from my wifes bra got stuck in the grill at the back of the drum, we had put a dry on before we went out and when we got back noticed it was still turning and making a weird noise, this is when we discovered the wire.

The drum I think was turning but very slowly due to the wire, once removed though the drum turned fine and we thought all was well.
That was when we noticed it wasn’t drying!!

I have removed the back panel and the part with the green dot on is curving in a little (is this right or should it be well in?)
I have read that there is ways of testing this part to be certain, I have a multimeter so if anyone can advice me I’ll give it a go.

Any advice will be much appreciated and thanks for this great forum

    Andy

    Re: TDC62 help please

Both thermostats should read very close to zero ohms when split from the circuit and tested with your multimeter.

The link is correct for the parts required.

Stay safe, keep the power off.
