ModeratorWhen I install this software, I always go for the full install. however when I come to use it, after identifying the model, I always get prompted to insert the TDS DVD to proceed further.
I have checked on my hard drive and all of the PDF files are already on there. I may be being a bit thick here, but is there some way I can use TDS without having to put the disc in the PC every time?March 15, 2006 at 5:12 pm #169616Dave_Conway

On the main page, click on the spanner icon near the bottom right, you can map the drive letters in there.
It should do it on install but more often than not it doesn’t 😕
Also follow the path to where the application runs from
program files/electrolux part/tds offline/install I think from memory.Edit the *.ini file in notepad making sure the drives all = C:/ or wherever the files are located 🙂

ModeratorRe: TDS disc
i use a cd rom emulator this allows me to load and image of the complete cd on the hard drive and the computer treats it as a cd rom
i now have 3 ghost cd roms on my system and the system will take more if i can find more disks to run. they can be dvd or cd roms
this also means i can run one cd on several systems
hope this helps

ParticipantA quick bump for this thread with how-to-get info, and a reccommendation.
If anyone is in this trade and doesn’t have a copy of TDS, get one now! It’s a superb resource. Wearing my other hat, I work with lab. equipment; guys, I see equipment at £5k, £10k and more and the quality of the service technical and faultfinding info for these £300 machines is WAY above that available (even to agreed distributors and agents).
I’m happy to admit that I’ve learned a HELLUVA lot about the most recent technology by reading some of the technical info on this disc. Hats off to ‘Lux!
