And there’s no technical reason that I can see why they cannot use the installed version of Acrobat Reader

We ticked/unticked every appropriate box in the Adobe 7 settings, to try and fire the old girl into life. But Still no joy 🙁

OK, I’m gonna try it, I hate Adobe Acrobat anyway even though it is damn useful, takes up far too many resources and it likes to add itself as a plug in to everything even if you don’t want it to.

So if it goes tits up, no great loss, I’ll just reinstall it from scratch 😉

    I’ll be back….. 😀

Just about to install this, anyone solve the Acrobat 5/7 conflict ?

I have Acrobat V7, ATM, have you removed that or used both side by side ?

I didn’t but I think if you have Acrobat reader 7 then installing 5 as well isn’t an issue and it works, it’s when you have Acrobat Pro 7 as I do when the problems arise 🙁

Install went OK , made sure Acrobat 5 went into a different folder to V7

Apart from a messy double install it seems to be working.

Just had a play around with this, I installed Acrobat V5 from the DVD in a different folder with the plugins. Some of the PDF docs open in Acrobat 5 and some in Acrobat 7.
