Laptop gave up last week and was trying unsuccessfully to load tds 2009 v1 disc onto win8.Is this even possible. Would be gratefull for any advice or instructions. Paul
I don’t know whether it will work on Winsdows 8, but type “Windows 8 compatibility mode” into Google and you will find links to Microsoft support on running software designed for older versions of Windows.
I use the version of TDS you have successfully on Windows 7 (32 bit) with Compatibility mode set to Windows XP SP3.
Hi paul if you have virtual box (which is free )and a copy of win 7 or an old copy of xp you can load win 7 or xp in virtual box then you can load the tds discs there if compatibility mode does not work. It’s a bit of messing about but would work if you can figure it out.Maybe someone else might have an easier option.
Thank you Stratfordgirl and Shaun67. Im afraid most of what you said went straight over my head.I am not that tech savy.I dont know or cant explain how i did it but I have managed to load it.The pages load ok but the diagrams need the disk installed to work.I can live with that as I dont use disk drive for anything else and disk can stay in there. Many thanks again.Paul
