    i saw this today…
    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/369_192929.html
basically a teba oven (A07001-51SS) and hob (OC6301N) for £400.
Are teba any good, bad? I saw some of those smooth hobs made by other bigger brands for £600. Are tebo generally reliable.
    Any thoughts? thanks,
    Eric

Bit cheap and cheerful IME, but decent enough for the money. Parts quite reasonable if required.

Hmm. It depends on what you would consider good really.

As penguin says, cheap enough, but there are always disadvantages to taking the “cheap” option.

The parts are very reasonable pricewise, IF you can get hold of them (I have Teba customers still waiting from February for spares :?)

Quality, there are improvements from the original stuff that was released in the UK, but still not that great to be fair.

If you can stretch to it, go for the £600 option 😉

thanks for your replies, i’ve got a budget for £500 and it has to be electric. Could anybody recommend a stainless steel electric oven and hob combi within that price?

    Thanks again,
    Eric

Take a look at the Belling:

    Oven XOU270SS @ £329
    Hob SHU53SS @ £99.00

Thats’s the prices we would sell them for anyway, easily within budget.
