Customer saying that the machine is saying water tank full and machine not finishing the cycle on Cottons cupboard dry plus program.

it is heating up fine and water tank appears to be working.

not the easiest machine to work on due to the way it was constructed.

I would like test the sensor and check the state of condenser water pump.

I am hoping that the tech info will help me to identify and test to properly diagnose the fault.

    thank you in advance

with that fault i would check and clean pump umit

the full sensor is 2 metal contacts that touch the water as it rises. if its contaminated or there is lint in there this fault will occur

How do I get to it? It looks like that I need to remove all the skins off to access the pump? In some respect AEG and Hotpoint tumble dryers are best for working on due to accessibility.

they are no where near as bad as you think

    remove top
    remove front panel
remove screws holding right side and remember the one underneath

the panel needs to be teased around the water container to then remove it

takes less than 10 mins and all you need is 2 drivers torx 20 for the screws into metal and torx15 for the plastic ones

job start to finish should take no more than 30 min
