Ihave been working in the domestic refrigeration repair industry for over 20 years ,the last 3 years i have been gas engineering eg boiler installation repairs only .Now returning to fridge work i feel like ive been left behind abit.When i encounted a repair fault on a boiler that i was unsure about i could ring any of the manufacturers and get technical advice.Does this happen in the domestic refrigeration area?

Not unless you do contractual work for a manufacturer would you necessarily get technical info. However some manufacturers like Electrolux for example are more open toward the independent trade and a good deal of technical info on their products is freely available. Beyond that there is a wealth of knowledge within the forums here on UKW to help you out should the need arise.:wink:
