Would it be possible to compile a technical information database using pdf file format? Everyone here has access to reading pdf files and usually stores loads of files on their PC’s. Many may not be aware that anyone can create their own pdf files and feely share this information platform also. (if you don’t then pm me and I can tell you how.:D)

Now if UKW can store these files within the technical forum much like in the ‘Known Error Codes’ thread so much the better, I hope that’s possible?

Pdf files can then be accessed, stored, renamed even, giving greater flexibility than printing off reams of forum text. The only problem is that one has not to breach any copyright by scanning manufacturers documents, copying text, wiring diagrams, photo’s etc etc. The info has to be seen to be created by the individual, unbiased and without any legal restrictions.

    Just a thought. 🙂

Therin lies the problem. Oh and the little one of securing it to trade only members…

Myriad of issues would need to be solved and it’s not just as simple as it may at first appear.

Oh well another blinding idea fallen at the first hurdle, never mind, no harm in asking, thanks anyway. 😉
