    Whirlpool job. 12nc. 8548 677 15710.

Initial complaint of programme doing strange things. 😕 Customer has not noticed any flashing lights but may not have realised their significance.

For reasons best known to themselves they do not switch the machine OFF after a programme has finished, they always use the 50° wash and just fill it and press the START button. It has been sticking on programmes, would not cancel etc and strangest of all, they said that last night it started up on its own, he came down in the morning to find the indicator light on the 70° programme illuminated and the machine washing away. 😕 😕

I reset the controls and tried it on prewash and a couple of wash programmes.

On all settings it does the initial drain then stops dead, no sound from fill valve. I left it like this for ten minutes and no errors came up, it just sat there.

It could just be a faulty fill solenoid but due to the magnificent skills of the brain dead kitchen fitter I cannot get it out due to tiles an inch thick at the front, tight up against the front legs and a copper water pipe running across in front of the rear legs.

I just about managed to remove the lower front plate, base is bone dry.

Any ideas as to why it started up on its own?

This chap still hasn’t managed to get it out yet. 😉

Anyone have any thoughts on the machine coming on on its own overnight??
