ParticipantHave a Technika (TDX20s) model dishwasher, initially it was not draining, found few debris near the outlet propellers, then started it and would not fill, so filled manually, it started and just keeps on washing, it is stuck on same wash programme.
It ran all night.Saw a forum entry, there is a device with four wires (black thingy) at the back right corner with a little red button, according to the forum entry it resets the cycle/programme, pushed it but did not do any resetting.!!!
Can any one help, advise or point me to the user manual.
Thanks in advance.March 14, 2006 at 9:15 am #169393kwatt

KeymasterArgh, another one! Any idea what factory it’s out of so we know what particular pile of poo it is?
Sorry dlpnut, but these Chinese dishwashers are really annoying as they fail a lot and the aftersales on them is often practically non-existant.

KeymasterNot a lot of info on it anywhere so it could be anything really. 😕
Some photos, especially of the inside would help.

Thanks to you all for trying, few other markings from the side of the front door (left side);
Made in France
Type 3.M1.840411230000 (must be something like product number)
also 30JFTAAS1 (don’t know what this represents)Made in late 2001 , only used fro about 1.5 yrs, as the house was a display property.
And TDX20S/S/1 (believe this is the model).
The front has on/off push butten on the far left top corner, then on to the far right Pre Wash and Intensive wash switch (goes from about 10 oclock to 12 oclock), then 4 push buttens, normal , eco , drying and start.
On the very end (far right top corner, top to bottom) three small lights indicating wash, drying, on/off.I hope this is helpull in visualising it.

Technika is a general importer of rebadged applainces, I think that particular model is Brandt or Fagor. The “black thingy” is the overtemp thermostat which is housed on the heater box.
If the machine is not heating, a firm press on the red button can reset the thermostat – power off first – then allow it to complete the cycle with water in it as it will, most likely be into the heating stage and will not advance on its own without completing this. The timer is awkward to access, also prone to shorting if advanced wrong, so allowing it advance on its own is preferable to fiddling with the timer.Edit: with the info above, it is a brandt sourced dishwasher

Thanks QAS, I will try this in the morning as I am working from home.
The machine is off now, there is water in it, will just power it on and see how far it goes. There is no problem with the heating.March 15, 2006 at 11:35 pm #169402dlpnut

Thanks all and QAS, my dishwasher is now working fine, just needed to be started and patience (waiting for the cycyle to finish).
After reading a few other forum entries I figured it may have ran all night due to the incorrect dishwashing liquid in it (foamed up).
Having cleaned all the foam and placed new water in all is ok the next mornings trial.

due to the incorrect dishwashing liquid
That’s the most common cause for this problem, few people will admit to it though 🙂
Glad to have helped.
