    hi,

    TC1285 double stainless range cooker.

need to replace the main oven fan motor on this.
had a quick look at it , i tried to remove the back panel from inside to look at the fan blade.
there are 4 screws holding the back plate on, but it doesn’t seem that straight forward to remove, does the fan unit come out from the rear of the cooker as one complete assembly?
or is like most other ovens were you remove the fan blade from the front and the motor comes out from the back?
    any tips much appreciated.

If its the one Im thinking of you need to remove the 4 screws from inside cavity, then with rear panel removed ,carefully peel back the wadding halfway from right to left.
Then remove screws holding plate that has circo element and fan unit attached to it; once done, fan motor will be accessible 🙂

    cheers greg,
    just to clarify.
you remove 4 screws from inside cavity-no worries.
then you remove rear panel, do you mean the rear panel inside the cavity or the rear panel from behind the cooker.?
    cheers.

    Hi
Rear cover at back of appliance, then wadding peeled back after that, then next panel with fan motor and element attached to it.

from memory i think its the one with criss cross wire across the back that holds the wadding in place, so be carefull when re-assembling it for stray wires shorting against live wires 😉
