    Hi all….

About a week ago my Tecnik TKD7000 built-in dishwasher went belly up.
When it is switched on the drain pump kicks in, even though there is no water visible to drain away.

From what I can gather from searches, it is a common problem, however, resolution of the problem is elusive to say the least.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I resolve the problem, without resorting to calling in an Engineer.

    All help appreciated…

    Jericho

    Re: Tecnik TKD7000

No info on this product. Constant drain would suggest that a flood protection system is in operation. This is usually a float in the base tray. If water leaks into the tray, the float operates a switch which over-rides the programme and switches the drain pump on.

Drag it out, cut the power and tip it to one side. If you get water on the floor, the machine has leaked into the base and you need to find the leak.

    Hi Penguin…

Never tried your test in the end, as after a unknown debit appeared on our bank statement we found out Dom Gen were still taking insurance payments from us, but had not sent us an insurance certificates in the last 2 years.

However, one phone call later and one subsequent visit by an engineer it turned out to be a dead control module.

Now it’s working again and all is good in the world…err!! well sort of anyway.

    Cheers for your help anyway…

    Jericho.
