ParticipantHi. The drain pump on my built in TKD 795/2 aka SE6TIE1GB/17 dishwasher is running continuously when the power is switched on. No obvious blockages and only visible water is in the lowest part of the sump.
I spoke to Tecnik (thanks for the phone no. 🙂 ) and they suggested that the base was flooded and that I needed to take the m/c out and to remove the back of the m/c to get access. The diagnosis seemed to agree with similar problems with other makes on the forum.
After much effort the m/c is out, but there is no back to remove ! 😕
how do I get access to the white plastic base to remove the water (some came out when I moved the m/c) and find the leak ❓ I can only see 2 screws at the lower back which might secure the bottom to the body. Do I have to remove the sides and/or the lower front (behind the door) as well ?Everything is disconnected ❗
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
thanks.

It’s the Bosch one. Just pull the plug and gently lean it back. Have some towels down ready. If it resets afterwards, all well and good. However, if the problem repeats you have a leak to find!

Cheers, thanks for the advice.
Have drained the base and it has successfully gone through a program. Hopefully it is only a drip, if that, and won’t happen again !

Hi there,
It looks as if I have the same problem! Pump running continuously and can’t reset. Can you help – what do you mean by m/c and what did you do to fix exactly? Technik said it was an internal leak but am reluctant to pay call out charge if I can fix myself!
Thanks,

m/c – machine
Nothing was fixed. The machine was leant back and the water in the base was drained out.

I have the identical problem; pump running continiously. Having pulled it out, I also experienced the same problem of getting access to the pump. I suspect it is clogged with debris. Non of the repondents actually answered the question of how to access the pump. Any advice? ❓

Its because if the pump was blocked it wouldn’t run. If the machine drain pump is running all the time , even with the door open , then the base will almost certainly be flooded……probably from the pressure chamber on the left hand side.
Unplug the machien and as Penguin says . tip it backwards…with plenty of towels around it. If it clears and runs , jobs a good ‘un….if it re-occurs , you need to find where the water is getting into the base.
