Morning folks. Bit of a strange one, this machine will only select a rinse programme, even if you choose any wash or spin programme. Occasionally can get spin led to light but then immediately returns to ready led. Checked heater for continuity and leakage,no water in base. Looks like a pcb or programming fault. Any ideas? Definitely a BSH appliance.

You’ve got an L of a problem there. It’s an L of a machine to work on, but what the L you can do about it. :clown:

Forgive my humour but you missed the L out of the model number (WXLITI01GB/18)

Chances are the motor is the source of the problem by the way. And yes it is another gem from the Bosch stable of old nags 😀

Thanks Martin. Sorry about the “L”. Told the customer I’d get back to them. Are we talking earth leakage when you say motor problem? Haven’t had the brushes out, it is 7 years old though.

Well, being as you’ve already carried out a Megger test on the machine and that it’s 7 years old then the brushes have to be an issue I would think.

I only Meggered the heater directly, not the whole of the machine, as it’s hard wired and built in. Customer had another appointment. We’ll now I know a bit more I will investigate further. Thanks Martin.
