Tefal 4 slice toaster – open circuit on heating element.

I have a Tefal 4 slice toaster which is only working on 1 side.

I’ve taken the top off hoping to find the contact points dirty but they are not. There seems to be a break in the heating element as the resistance on this side shows an open circuit.

I’m just wondering if I continue to strip it down can this be repaired or is it a write off?

Usually it’s a throw away item. What model number is it anyway?
