Hi all been asked to look at this iron for a neighbour she says it is steaming constatnt.She did say it happened a year or so ago and she had to send it away and it was something to do with the solenoid?anyone any experience or info on these?

there is an electricaly operated solenoid valve on the boiler sound like yous is stuck open probably due to limescale
you could try removing it and pour a but of vinegar or and mild acid lemon juice etc and see if it desolves it. you cant lose anything its a scrap part now. remove electric coils first
