Wide Awake Jake
ParticipantHi All,
We live in a row of nine new houses and at least 5 of our row of houses have had their fridge freezer break just out of the warranty period of 2years. The model is a Teka FCI-340.
Some of the neighbours have got a new one, same model at ‘cost price’, which was 450. We have tried to get details of another one the same size from Teka, but it turns out nothing will fit apart from that one.
It’s this model and you can see the dimensions on the insert drawings link.
I thought I found one at comet, which was a haier hrf265, but the picture looks different, but the sizes in the Q and A on the comet site indicate it would fit.
I did some googling and found the manual – and it’s exactly the same manual as ours….
I don’t really want the same model as it’s rubbish. Can anyone recommend one that might fit? our carcass door dimensions are 72cm for for the freezer and aroung 120cm with a big gap at the top for the fridge – the fridge door itself is around 100 cm.
Any advice would be appreciated. It’s so hard to find one that fits!

Hi, I’ve got the same fridge and mine has gone wrong…the freezer is fine but the temperature in the fridge is way too cold and everything is freezing. I’ve just started looking for a replacement (I may decide to repair but unlikely) and saw your post.
Like you I’m having trouble finding a suitable match but I’m letting you know that I’m looking and will post any help I can. I’d be grateful if you could do the same.
Ta.

Hi
It`s a typical 70 : 30 split 1776mm high the widths are all the same the height may vary by a mil or two but it will still go. Most brands like Hotpoint and Neff etc produce suitable machines for your housing. The most important bit is getting it installed correctly.
HTH 🙂
