Got a Teka ADW6-59 dishwasher, the fault is that when you switch it on to a wash all that happens is the drain pump kicks in for about a second then of for a few seconds then kicks back in. Have tried the reset but it not helped. None of the lights flash up to give a fault code, would anyone have any ideas what it may be

    Thanks

It’s a Smeg in a dress Andy so the usual applies for them, probably a board fault by the sounds of it. 🙁

From memory about £100 plus VAT. 🙁

Normally, but not always, when you get no fault code the board is goosed but check the SD solenoid as well, another favourite. The symptoms sound awfully like an “E2” error but that should have brought up the LED sequence indicating that, worth checking the side chamber though I guess.

Heh, I haven’t worked on one of those for about two years, I just see the sheets all too often as they all go over the repair limits. 😉

The solenoid thing only came up a few months ago but still, if there’s no code getting thrown up, it’s almost certainly a PCB failure IMO. That said though, without eliminating the possibilities there’s not much more help to give.
