Correct – no drain detected in the time allowed.
Power off if you’re doing this yourself.

Cheers mr Penguin
Stripped the pump and found chicken bones . test run it dry and it runs perfectly now. don’t understand how the bones managed to get past the filter screen but its done now.
Thanks for confirmation

The question you should ask yourself is how did the bones get in there in the first place.Remember our adage, it is a dishwasher, it is not a waste disposal unit. 😀
Always rinse the dishes properly before loading into the machine. 😉

As said mr Penguin thanks for the support 🙂 –
However i still have a problem. 🙁 The dishes at the bottom rear of the machine dont get cleaned. Pyrex bowl and pan for example. all other dishes are spotless and clean . read the posts on here regards cleaning and then wnet back and did a check on the spray bars. the upper is spinning fine but the lower one doesnt move. I have removed it cleaned and checked the nozzles aren’t blocked which they arent and it moves freely when spun by my big fore fingers Again any ideas would help. If my previous post is anything to go by me thinks there is still sort of blockage somewhere?cheers again in advance

This where we get into problems. You have a Haier-built Chinese machine and the is no tech info out there. A lot of these machines have a device called an alternator valve. This alternates the water between the top and bottom rotor; it can fail electrically or jam. Either way, the bulk of the water is only sprayed into one basket.

😉
Thanks again Mr Penguin, Sounds extremly feasible that this valve is blocked. Misses was complaining of it not cleaning acouple of days ago before the pump jammed up so should have checked it over fully 😳Simple question for you before I go ripping apart again.
I was advised some time ago (from a Previous Dishwasher salesman ?? ) that your not supposed to lie a dishwasher on its side (Corrupts the program) :eeek: can’t see why this would happen , Gaining access to the working parts is a bitch if you can’t lie the thing on its side. I did the last job with it on slight tilt which gave me enough access to the pump but this was a right pain in the A***. lieing it on its side would take minutes to complete instead of hours. I understand that there will be risidual water in there which can contaminate the internal electrics. Not a problem if you dry up after you finsh. p.s I am an electrician in a factory where water ingress is a nightmare problem. So fully understand the implications.
Again thanks for you advice

Tipping it flat on its back would be the best way to ensure leaking water doesn’t get into the machines workings. Drop a couple of towels down first.

HI Mr Penguin ,
Thanks for all your info so far.
As i explained the bottom spray bar wasnt turning. During investigation I removed what i think is the lower spray bar sealing nut. and leaked some water into the bottom of the unit. Thought i’d managed to dry most of the water up as i applied the power was ok and put it into a program to test it. it ran all the way through until the drying phase the steam and hot water tripped the mains. have now ensured there is absolutely no water in contact with any electrical components. turned power on and its on but i get no repsonse from the programming buttons. I have gaing access and chacked the door locking siwtch which is fully functional. i also checked the main PLC CONTROL and it appears ok. Power is there 240v and the on board fuse also checks out.
I am at a bit of a loss now as to what the problem may be. I have read through a few of the posts here and thinks the board has gone down ? I hope not. mind you the £135 you quote for a spare is better than the £2-400 for a replacement. 😥Any advice again is most welcome :rolls:

More or less got to be the pcb. I note that you still haven’t resolved the spray issue.
I would seriously advise against shelling out on parts for the machine. Add the cost of a replacement circulation motor to resolve the spray bar issue into the equation and it’s just not worth it. There is far better product out there for not a lot more money which will give far longer service with fewer headaches.
Write this one off to experience.
