ParticipantHave a customer with a teka ADW6 59FI dishwasher which seems to be derivitive of mfi, smeg whirlpool model. First 3 led’s flashing which according to book is flow meter detected when not fitted. Reset required.
Trouble is it does not tell you how to reset!
I have tried resetting programme, and float switch but can’t see anything else to try.

Switch on the machine and within 3 seconds, press the programme button 4 times. Lamps 1 + 5 should be lit. Press button once, so as only one lamp is lit. Switch off. Switch on and run the rinse cycle.

MFI SMEG and Whilrpool are not the same machines. need to correctly identify it. If it is a smeg withiout a flow meter then the following is the reset proceedure:
With the door open, turn on the appliance and within three seconds push 4 times on the program selection
button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG LED’s are flashing
This LED combination represents the test program for the appliances that have a flow meter.
If the above indication is not shown on the appliance, switch the appliance off and try the sequence again
until the above LED’s are shown on display.
Now push on the program button once more to select the version ‘without flow meter’, check that the SOAK
LED goes out,
Do not close the appliance door, to complete settings switch the appliance off.
Now switch the appliance ‘on’ and test on a SOAK program.
It is possible for this fault to exist on earlier models, if the appliance has had a PCB replaced with the latest
version. (earlier model are ADP8112 & 8132).February 26, 2009 at 8:21 pm #278594snig

Thanks guy’s. That was quick.
Found the fault codes on page 50 of whitegoods code book, and you’re right. I should have said diplomat, not whirlpool dishwasher. This doesn’t look like a whirlpool machine so i think you are both right with reset instructions. I will try it tomorrowFebruary 27, 2009 at 6:09 pm #278595snig

Thanks again guys. Called back today and sorted it straight away, although it took several attempts to initiate test prog.
Hopefully this extra bit of info could be included in the next issue of fault guide -
