I’m getting a new kitchen and am looking at ovens with telescopic shelves so that I can stir/baste without having to carry the pan somewhere else.
But – how strong are they? I use heavy cast iron casseroles (Le Creuset type) a lot, and they weigh a ton, especially when full of food. I am worried the shelves would not stand up to that kind of weight over time. Any views? Any brands where the telescopic shelves seem to be stronger and more durable than others?
