This is linked to some degree to my other post on which Electrofix has been extremely helpful at guiding me through a fault find, but I thought that this part might be of interest to other uses if it was listed separately in regard to continuity.

So trying to pin down where my fault is I want to try and test a few parts on the machine for their continuity using a Wavetek Meter set on its Continuity setting. This is what I am getting at the moment

Leads to Aqua Stop – No beep, just a reading of 1.314
Pressure chamber switch – open circuit apart from when the switch is activated and then it closes
Float Switch – Closed circuit unless the switch is activated and then it opens
Solenoid – No beep just a reading of 1.355

The reason I have chosen these four items to test is simply because they all seem to be in the same circuit of wires – to summarise my other post, the machine is not filling with water.

Does anyone know what these items should show and if the above reading would indicate a fault ? I’m not entirely sure what it means when there is no beep and it simply displays a reading

    Thank you
    Darren

My last ditch attempt I think – its been on its back for 2 weeks in the middle of the kitchen ( that’s the dishwasher and not me ! ) and I’m getting too much grief now lol

If I can’t find the fault I will simply need to try and buy a new one but before I do – can anyone help me with the above ? If it gets me to a fixed dishwasher I’m happy to bung some beer money someones way !!

I apologise that I will bump my other post too which is about the same appliance but going down a slightly different tact.

Thanks for all the help so far

    Darren
