Where do you buy your stickers from? and how much do you pay?
I`m interested in the clear ones.
Always thought about it but never got round to it.

Your point has never been lost on us Jim all the while, no worries. 😉 There is no getting away with the fact that the good old sticky label is a nice little earner for us all. So any chance of repeat business has to be foremost in anyones mind with most customers. I rarely miss a chance to ‘stick ’em up!’ as I feel appropriate giving the variety of appliances that I service.
As Clive points out, we don’t (cant even!) put our stickers on ovens, similarly on integrated appliances it never goes up front but always on the inside door panel or filter flap. Beats business cards hands down!
Changing the subject (slightly) if I may? I stopped in a lay-by (oh a while back now) to answer my phone and as I’m chatting to my customer happened to spot a Creda Tumble Dryer had been ‘fly-tipped’ in the ditch next to the litter bin…….
…….that dryer had my sticker on the front!!!!!! :rotl:

The “clear ones” are made from polyester film, cost around £120 for a roll containing 500 labels. They cannot fade, shrink or dis-colour (are removable should your customer object?) and show through the natural colour of the appliance (Green, Almond etc).
Mine? I get from http://www.qubicprint.co.uk (on special order) and they are 20mm high by 40mm long ( see photo up on the first page)
HTH?

Get mine from http://www.able-label.com
I use silver as the clear ones are a bit hard to see on some machines.
Get my cards from vistaprint.co.uk and they look the d-b.July 10, 2007 at 9:50 pm #220098bazza500

Thanks guys.
Just ordered 5000 clear labels with black writing from stickylabels.com for £67.31 including P&P and including VAT.
You should check them out Martin as they look similar to your picture and at a fraction of the cost.
Will check the quality once they arrive.

If you have trouble positioning them then a good tip is to wet the surface they are going on…you can slide them about until in a neat position and when they’re dry they stay there 😉

You’re supposed to “squeegee” the water out from under when you are satisfied with the position (as the actress said to the bishop 😯 ) – then they stick like the proverbial to a blanket.
Chris.

Hope it didn’t have a recent date on it :rotl:
Used stickers for the last 17 years, made a fortune out of them 😉 You know how some customers seem to forget who repaired their washer five years ago and then see the grubby sticker still on the front, bingo :rolls: I have stuck em on the front and only had one or two ask me to stick em elsewhere, oooooooh matron 😆
