I have a customer who is replacing all their domestic machines ( which have been working trouble free for 5+ years ) for commercial becuse
they have read this on the Miele site
“””The EU Machinery Directive regulates the safe operation and, above all, the safe use of washing machines and dryers. Businesses in which washing machines or dryers are operated by various persons are under obligation to use commercial-grade machines. All Miele Professional commercial machines, including the new SmartBiz series, are fully compliant with the Machinery Directive.”””

    Does anybody know about this?

    Thanks in advance

New one on me, I’ll need to read the directive to see what Miele are on about as on a quick look I can’t see anything specific. In fact, I can’t see anything specifically mentioning the “safe use” of washing machines anywhere in the EU or UK notes on it.

Could be Miele BS’ing people, again to try to get them to fork out on more expensive products than they need to. Which would come as absolutely no surprise to me.

But, another example of Brexit madness:

Yeah, we left, but we’ll still follow all the rules.

    K.
