Went to a newish Miele today. The customer’s complaint was that the door wouldn’t open. When I got there, the machine wouldn’t do anything! There was just a light on the facia, that said ‘locked’! And it sure was locked! :rolls: The machine wouldn’t do anything, no matter what I tryed. The door wouldn’t even open!
Luckily the customers instructions were nearby. After lots of reading and fiddling, I realised that the customer had somehow accidentily ‘locked’ the machine. This is a feature on that machine that allows the customer to ‘lock’ the machine, to prevent unathorized use!!!!! :bang:
WTF? 👿 So if you come across one, this is how you crack the safe…
‘Finish’ is at 12 o’ clock on the selector. Make the selector is there, and turn the machine on.
Hold down the pre-wash button!
Turn the selector 3 clicks clockwise.
Then 3 clicks anti-clockwise, back to finish.
Then 3 more clicks anti-clockwise.
Then 3 clicks clockwise, back to finish.
Release the pre-wash button, and the machine will light up, and be of some use again 😀 What a pain in the neck!!!
