ParticipantWe are after a reliable fridge freezer and will pay up to 7-900 for the priviledge.
We want one that has accurate temperature control for both the fridge and the freezer (we like the fridge quite cold – 2-3 degrees).
We have had bad experiences with two units so far:
1) BOSCH EXCEL model – fridge warm, temperature readout shows temperature you’d like it to be not not what it actually was (which was considerably warmer). We understand that Bosch models have had a fault with a freezing fan and a wire hitting the fan and that the adapting kit does not successfully solve the issue (?). We wondered if this was in fact the issue here (i.e. a design fault) and so avoided a replacement.
2) AEG SANTO – delivered in such an appauling state that we decided to stick well clear of AEG-Electrolux (unless this forum advises otherwise).
SO, having sent both back, we have now been without a fridge freezer for 2 months. We would very much appreciate the advice of owners and engineers on this forum as to what brands or current models you have had good experiences in, or, are what you would invest in.Either we have had bad luck or there are currently a lot of issues with single fan designs or mass production….
Be very grateful for an advice or experience.

Thanks. We have heard of these, but they don’t seem to be stocked in many of the high street shops.
Have you any advice on where to shop for the Liebherr?
Be ideal if we could actually ‘see’ one beofre purchasing, but I guess seeing a Miele is just the same.June 28, 2008 at 11:47 am #256164don

BlockedI buy Danby-designer fridge It comes with a large storage space to accommodate lots of items. This high grade Danby Designer DCR044A2BDD offers 126 litres of refrigeration capacity and it is great shops, dens, recreation rooms etc. It work awesome for me.
Mod edit:
removed Link for items not available in UK as it leads to confusion.
