KeymasterMessage received this evening…
Rudolph wrote:Dear Mr Watt.
I have a concern and Iβm wondering if you perhaps have a word among your moderators. Perhaps a mention in their hidden sector of the forum would suffice.
It has come to my attention that one of your moderators has been endeavouring to find my identity by means of I.P. address searches. I do have a name, but wonβt divulge the details.
O.K. fair play to any such persons for the initiative in flushing me out, but in the case of a moderator, is such action really necessary? I have to say Iβm a tad dismayed that one of the inner sanctum would want to do this, and hope it is just a fleeting moment.
Can I ask you to put the word around; I donβt want to be in a position where I am constantly watching my back. Nor do I want to go to ground as things are developing in one particular front. I am aware there are programmes to cloak my I.P. address, but I would like to think I am among friends.
Thanks in anticipation.
Rudi.
I’d like to think that there is no substance to this as it would breach my sense of members right to privacy. Unless there is a specific reason to look at this then it should be left alone, site admin are the only ones that should be aware of who is who, as it says on the tin.
Aside from which Rudi has been known to login from various PC’s, including other site members PCs as he can be travelling a bit so, before anyone jumps to any conclusions, it may well not be who it even appears to be.

Do please reassure Rudi that there is indeed no substance to this whatsoever. His right to total anonimity is now, and forever will be, intact and never compromised by anyone on this site. π

At first I thought that Rudi had some magic software that allowed him to know when his IP was being checked, as no such thing exists then I assume someone has told him that ‘someone else’ is trying to ‘unmask’ him. Long may he stay incognito. I have never done work for work providers but I read all his posts avidly.. 8)

Trust me, lots of people want to know who Rudolph is, many have tried armed with a fully fledged IT dept. and failed.
Let’s just say he’s a goldmine of info and really leaves some people smarting from the pain. π

KeymasterI don’t know Greg, this came totally out the blue from Rudi. Obviously he’s heard something or something’s been mentioned to him.

I must say his info is very interesting and quite valuable. He must be on someones Wanted list, perhaps thats why they are trying to get him against UKW by saying that we are “spying” on him, thus drying his inside info up :con:

KeymasterI have no idea nor do I really care. Fact is I was asked about it, shared the info, job done.
Rudi is on a few “Most Wanted” lists I expect, he’s upset a few people. π
