Just been to this house this morning, talk about golden oldies.
The 18580 is circa April 1980, the two 95620’s are Jan 1982 & May 83 respectively.
Call was for attention to the 95620 machines, complaint of no spin on either. First one needed new motor brushes, second one was just a loose timer connection block, possibly loosened when they moved it to attend to the plumbing a few weeks previously.

The 18580 is in fantastic condition, over the years I have fitted one set of brushes, a door seal and heater to this machine. As you can see from the picture the backplate is near perfect and it still has the original Hotpoint made pump. Everything else is also original.

The 95620’s have had the odd set of brushes, a fill valve on one and a door latch problem on the other. Both still on original timer, motor, pump, bearings & door seal.

The machines are in a warm, dry, airy basement and I have to say the owner does look after these machines with great care, as does her repairman. 😉 😀

Ooooooogh that drain hose looks a bit perished Jim 😉 😉 not a sign of rot on that back panel. If all the customers looked after machines as well as these, we would all be out of business 10 out of 10 8)

Went to a 18580 t’other week, just needed a door release button extension thingy .Otherwise in top condition, as they say” don’t make ’em like that anymore”, just disposed of 2 WMA m/cs today both knacked.Did a wm52 bearing change last friday ,it was a pleasure doing it, just like the old 95 series, bliss 😛 .Now if I can do some old Zanussi bearing changes [cast spider type] I be dead chuffed, great engineered m/c all of ’em 🙂

Drain/Sump hose is fine, its just the light from my flash making it look discoloured.

    Jim.
