Did you miss my point here about lowering the feet or what?

No.
But if that doesn’t get it out cleanly because some muppet installed it badly, not my problem. 😉

I think we are straying from the subject a tad but yes nothing surprises us and I’ve met both examples given a number of times. None of which are beyond some form of intervention and compromise. Access is always a major problem and judgment as to who, how and when it can be fixed just the next stage in the operation. No big deal….!
The other week I watched ‘Phil Spencer Secret Agent’ on TV. In one house he was advising to do a house make-over. The washer and dryer were under the stairs and looked somewhat incongruous to the potential house buyer. He advised getting a chippy in to box both machines in. The end result was that they would be impossible to access if they failed. The whole bit of carpentry would need taking apart to access. But it looked good for the new buyer and the house sold as a result. What’s the betting some guy on UKW will get called in to fix one when they fail. (I think the washer was a Dyson by the way 😉 ). 😀

ken, i think specialist was reffering to the pic he posted, as to how the cooker would come out with worktops cut like thatAs a rule the four levelling feet have to be raised in order to reach the height of the worktops. Removing the bottom plinth allows access to all four feet. So you have to hope, at least in this crazy situation, there is enough adjustment in order to lower the oven below the overhanging countertops in order to pull it forward sufficient to get round the back! 😉
Not necessarily a “walk away” situation either as worktops can be removed if that’s the only choice. It went in, for Christ sake, so it’s gotta come out! Peace of pi$$ for someone with an ounce of improv skill after all said and done. :rolls:
You would need 40-50mm on those legs , that’s incredibly unlikely for a start. It went in yes, but that was quite obviously before the worktops……. And tiles which overhang the worktop, plus one of the worktops will have a sink in it.
I must say you would be the most committed appliance repair person I had ever heard of if you were prepared to remove the bottom row of tiles, worktop with sink and all related plumbing then the other worktop just to repair the cooker, I would estimate that at 1-2 days work for a pro kitchen fitter.
The main question that needs answering here though is……..Why didn’t they just buy a 90cm range ?

Showed the picture to a friend of mine who’s been a professional kitchen fitter for over 20 years. I won’t repeat his words, i’d get banned. Suffice it to say the air turned Blue & he told me if I ever got something like that then let some other fool have the job of removing & r-fitting it.
