ParticipantYou start up the dishwasher after fixing the internal leak and they say “That’s a marvellous sound – haven’t heard that in a while, you are a genius” and you say, “That’s just the initial drain out – it was stuck on that permanently before, we’ll have to wait a few more minutes to check everything is working as it should”

Participantchaps customer door – customer answers and says i hope you don’t mind cats, I’m like no I don’t mind them
2 steps in the smell hit me like a ton of bricks, cat litter boxes all over the house – full of cats poo/pee
the guy is about 30 years old and more than able to deal with the litter, but 1 look around the house gave me my answer
anyway, the oven needed an element quick fix – thank eff for that
so getting to the things they say —– when I was testing the oven he pipes up —ohh is that the new element I’m smelling —- Im like WTF
i felt like answering i can’t smell anything as my senses have been mugged by your cats pee , but being the professional i am? –
i said ohh yes that’s what the smell isOctober 2, 2023 at 9:14 am #487540electrofix

i said ohh yes that’s what the smell isBeen in a few houses like that. went in one where the dogs pee on the floor and the small of ammonia was over powering. luckily as you said the job was quick. While I was there he was complaining that a boiler engineer had not done a good job because the boiler was leaking. I kept quiet as i knew the engineer had probably rushed the job to escape the smell
