KeymasterThank you to everyone that attended, the meeting was a pleasure and everyone seemed to enjoy it and find it useful including myself I think it was brilliant.
Special thanks to Dave Conway for organising the room and the directions that got us all lost! 😉 (You *knew* you were gonna get that)
More thanks to Neil Howieson for chairing the meeting.
There is more and it will get posted, but I wanted that up ASAP and I’ve not reached double figures for the hours of sleep I’ve had in the past 72!
Let’s just say it was extremely good and there are lot of exciting things happening right now and, a word to the wise, DON’T miss the DASA AGM in October. 😉

I’m having trouble reading this, the matchsticks are obscuring my vision.

ModeratorI would like to give a vote of thanks, to the trio of uk whitegoods members mentioned above. Who took the time ,truoble and effort to organise an imaganative, informative, and inspired venue and agenda for the members of this site. It was indeed an exellent oppurtunity for uk whitegoods members to freely voice, and share thier mutual thoughts, concerns and hard earned experiance of our industry and its future direction.
We can all sometimes feel cut off from the rest of the world as we strive to keep our buisnesses both viable and sucessful. So it was refreshing to meet so many like minded souls and fellow members from all over the uk.
I would like to thank Niel, who’s chairmanship of the inaugeral meeting was nothing short of inspired, as he kept the agenda flowing whilst giving all attendees fair oppurtunity to express thier views and seek a concensus of opinion on most topics.Dave, who’s ability to seek out an excellent venue where after a long trip we could all enjoy a good lunch, fair pint and more than satisfactory, well equipt meeting room, could only be surpassed by his inability to find the venue himself ! LOL (only jokin’) Thanks Dave.
Last but by no means least a special vote of thanks should go to the man himself K.Watt. who’s dogged determination over the last two years or so to provide a platform for ALL UK WHITEGOODS independant service providers to freely express their views and concerns over the future of our trade.
Of the social evening along with new aquaintances from DASA I can only say that the hiliarious good natured banter aboard the good ship & floating resteraunt ‘East‘ and the top up afterwards at the Queensgate hotel
would have been memerable if only I could remember it ! LOLCould I strongly recommend all uk whitegoods members to attend the D.A.S.A. A.G.M at Peterborough in October I’m sure there will be details posted on the site shortly. I am given to understand that there will be an open forum for all to attend.

ParticipantAs mentioned above both Whitegoods and the DASA meetings were excelent. We all had a good 😆 in the evening on the good ship East, and as Dell from Wales said an excellent top up after again another 😆 with a 8) for those who could not remember after. Ted was well on song, Neil slinked off early, me I made sure I was not going to get a bar bill in the morning before I retired.
I have taken photo’s of the day and will be mailing them to Ken, should be a 😆 also 😳 for some, particularly Teds victory salute, I am very impressed.
The DASA AGM, again I can only repeat what has been said above. Those who were privi to the DASA meeting know what is happening, the news is positive, so now is the time to join DASA if you are not already a member, trust me you cannot afford fiancialy to miss it. We are comming to a position where the tide is turning, slowly but surely it is turning. If you cannot be at the AGM make sure someone from your company is, the futer of your buisiness will depend on the knowledge from this meeting.
Thanks Ken for the effert you have put in, also Dave Conway, my friend Neil, the gorgeouse Vernica, Ted, Dell and every one who came, I enjoyed myself, and look forward to the next one.
OT 🙄 😉 😆
