ModeratorFirst call this morning, Zanussi Nexus. Customer says “its not emptying, I think there may be the odd bobble in it” :rolls:
Switched on, pump made unusual noise.
Took the filter out and it was clogged with gunge, plus about 8 or ten hair bobbles and other rubbish.
Checked drain pump and found impellor adrift. Fitted new pump and ran on test, Seemed to start emptying OK then the water flow went to a trickle.
Removed the sump hose and inside it I found ‘the odd bobble’ she was on about. π―
Why does she need this many bobbles, why put them all into the washing machine together, why are some women so stupid, :rolls: π

Little elastic hair bands. I love them nearly as much as the summer of the Tazoes.

I think we should lobby the crisp people to bring them back. π

Oh how the customers jaws dropped when you asked.
“Does your little Marmaduke collect Tazoes” before you’d even taken the back orff the machine. π

ParticipantI expect its been said before
But you have to give Hoover/Candy top marks for designing the inlet tube on their pumps so a 10p coin fits perfect to block it off!!!
Makes you wonder who designs these things Eh?
Still mustnβt moan, there a great source of incomeRich

Ah, yes – but – the Europeans designed the outlet to exactly fit a 5 pence piece……

Do I suspect an engineers “tip” here? π
I usually offer to split what I find in the sump, ill have the coins, customer can have the water π suprising how many customers say OK. Coins usually end up in some charity box π

Once found a gold ring in a pump, when i handed back to the customer she said they were real diamonds and she had already claimed on the insurance for it π―

Ditto, the ring was worth Β£3000 π― The tight bitch didn’t even offer me Β£20 to keep my mouth shut. I could have got a fair wack of her insurance as finders fee if I had reported it. π₯ I still work for her occasionally, bit extra on the invoice of course π
I once took a heavy gold chain out of a machine that I got in as scrap, posted it back by recorded delivery to the owner, never a word of thanks of her π₯ It makes you think that honesty doesn’t pay.
