ParticipantWe have a Thermador (LPG) hob, one of the four burners is not functioning, the ignition is functioning, the burner is not receiving any gas flow as it cannot be lit with a match. There is no smell of gas so assume no leak. I just need someone to diagnose the problem. I know all the issues regarding spares and I know Thermador have no presence in the U.K. I just need a competent qualified person to diagnose what the issue is. We are located near Gatwick airport. Any and all help would be welcome.

ModeratorIt may be as simple as a blocked jet so may not need parts
have you looked here for a gas safe engineer
https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/searc…iance-engineer
also searched the gas safe register and this company lists both hobs and LPG
obviously I do not know the company apart from they are registered to work on gas so do not take this as a recommendation. Isuggest a quick google search to look for reviewsDave

ParticipantHi Dave I did put a feeler wire through the visible part of the jet, it was clean as a whistle. I will give your link a try, thank you.K.M.

ParticipantHitting the same problem on the gas safe locator as I have on other sites Thermador is not a listed brand, if I pick the “unknown” option, I will waste their time and mine, any suggestions

Moderatoryou could try this company it looks local to you although I cant personally recommend them as I have no knowledge but its worth a ring
Dave
also doing a search of our engineer’s and putting a known make in brings up
https://www.bryantsappliancerepairs.co.uk/you could ring them and ask if they will look at a LPG odd make hob. If they will don’t forget you may be able to get the spares and they can fit them
Did a search for Thermador. This is the American site and here is the link to the spare part access. Works the same as Bosch site in the UK. Add your Enr number and see if parts breakdown comes up

ParticipantThank-you Dave, they are on holiday until Monday and there seems to be nothing on their site regarding domestic LPG hobs. However at this point I have to follow any and every lead so will chase it up next week. Thanks again, Kerry.
