I’ve got a problem in that I have changed the thermostats twice and they only last a couple of dyas and then blow out again leaving me the same problem of no heat. Any idea if I am doing anything wrong??

I followed this good advice, changed therms supplied by whitegoods. It worked fine for a week then same again, not heating and the ‘drying’ LED is stuck on even when not active (might have been before, can’t remember). Any advice on how to proceed from here. Bit worried about replacing therms again without some advice on whats knocking them out
Cheers

Well, back to square one here I guess? First you need to ensure no-one turns the dryer off pre-maturely during its normal operation (i.e the last 10 minutes cool-down part of cycle has to be observed otherwise kiss goodbye to the thermal fuses – every time!)
If no-one messes with the drying process and you still have a problem? Then you need to ensure that the filter is spotless? The door cavity behind the filters is clean? The removeable condenser matrix is regularly taken out and cleaned to ensure that the veins (slats) are clear? The air intake (botton R/H/Side) is clear?
Now the only worry I have here in your case is this “Drying LED”? being on all the time? Very odd? (Actually it’s not in fact an LED but a neon light -but hey!) With that being illuminated all the while may, just may, indicate trouble with the Timer unit?….dunno?

Dryer neon on all the time indicates a faulty relay on the dryness module. Something I have seen many times.
Unfortunately the part is over £70.00 ex vat. 😥
