Just reading the post on the VHV680F in the public forum.

Can anyone shed some light on the problem.

As I sold a VHC680F on Tuesday and when I tested it, in the customers garage, it stopped after a minute with all the lights flashing on and off.

After 3 attempts it suddenly righted itself. Is this because the bit of heat it generated during the 3 attempts cancelled the ‘Thermal Lock Out.’ ????

Temperature sensor in the front duct is too cold and out of the parameters that the electronics expect. Pull the filter out and you can put your hand down and touch the sensor, warm with your hand for a few seconds and everything will be OK. 😉

Anyone had this affecting Whirlpool electronically controlled dryers. Just had a customer on the phone with one with all the lights flashing. Its in a garage and it went down to -10 here last night, still reading -08 on my car temp gauge.

Not been out to it yet so don’t have model number etc.

Thanks for that, why do they always break down in winter when they are in a garage. 😥
