Thermostat for an Ikea Oven

Hello,

I’m looking for the correct thermostat for an Ikea 301.588.76 oven. According to their own parts site there isn’t a thermostat in it, but as it’s sitting in front of me I don’t believe them.

The thermostat is an EGO 55.13052.950 266C. I have tried a standard thermostat in it, but the shaft is far too short and the control knob won’t stay on. I can’t find this thermostat listed with any of the parts suppliers I normally use, Whirlpool don’t list parts for ovens they make for Ikea and Ikea are adamant there’s a thermal-couple in it.

Any help as always is greatly appreciated.

That model number relates to a WHirlpool 12nc 857923215002
and according to their info this oven has a ntc and control board.

Are you sure the number is correct?

I’m positive, number’s on the oven, the receipt and the books. I bought the NTC before opening the thing up – so I’m out of pocket for that before I start.
