thermostat for electrolux BW195 dishwasher

i need a replacement for the thermostat which is in contact with the outside of the dishwasher compartment (i.e. NOT the one clipped to the heating elelment).

i believe it is a normally open thermostat operating at about 65C, with 2 connections.

other details:
No. 9112454-21
Ser. 267-9300
i think this is about 16-18 years old

the dishwasher worked well until recently and just needs a new thermostat as far as i can tell.

Oh dear! I think you may be out of luck on this through obsolescence 🙁
However I do recall there are 2 stats, both fit into the sump in the base. One is the Thermostat (Part No : 1501879009) which sits by the Element and the other close by which is the Overheat Protector (Part No: 1502555004).

As far as I know they may well be obsolete 🙁

Perhaps someone else on the site may have some old stock on a dusty shelf though ❓

Bear with me on this, I think I may have one.

I am trying to work out which one is which, even though one is describred as a thermostat and the other an overheat cut-out the diagram is not good shall we say 😉

Yeah, I have the part numbers but they are the wrong way round from memory (I ordered one before which turned out to be the wrong one).

They are both still available though if I don’t have one on a dusty shelf 😀

OK, they are as follows:

1501879009 – thermostat – £33.43

1504573005 (superseded) – overheat cut-out – £14.74

As I said, from memory the description the last time I ordered was incorrect but it may well have been corrected which I why I wanted to check if I had one, which I don’t.

I can supply for you, prices above inc VAT, add £3.50 for postage.

Does anyone else here have either of these to confirm the info is correct ?
