Had a failed Fagor fan element repaired; my wife was in and the engineer fixed the oven.
He changed an element and possibly thermostat as there was two empty packets stating the part details. Unfortunately, the thermostat light is glowing slightly like a trickling candle effect when the oven is not actually in use (but has power for the clock).
When the oven is turned on but below the thermostat trip level it does not glow but glows brightly when the elements are on.
The engineer said that this is normal and will settle; any ideas on whether this will settle or should I call the service centre back?
Re: Thermostat light glowing slightly when oven off
Likely as not it may well “settle” in the short term. Neon gas indicator lights are somewhat prone to this effect however if it persists it may be best to have it double checked for electrical safety.
