I’ve got an Indesit G74C that’s stopped heating. I’ve replaced the thermostats twice in the past and did it for a third time the other day. The new one failed almost straight away. I cleared every last bit of fluff I can find anywhere in the machine but another has failed after a couple of hours this morning. I have to admit buying cheap ones from another place and only replacing the one that had gone (I see that the guidance here is to replace them in pairs.)

Before I order a proper pair from ukwhitegoods can anyone suggest anything else that could be causing there to fail so quickly?

    Thanks

    Andy

some of the most common reasons for thermostat failure are here:

In all honesty, 99.99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time, it’s down to one or more of the reasons there as there’s little else that can possibly cause repeated or even a single failure.

    You must replace them both.

If the one you are not replacing is the faulty one it will keep causing the other one to blow.

Make sure you don’t keep opening the door whilst drying to check
I get loads of people that don’t let it go through its cooling period which is vital
