Hi – this forum looks really useful!
Question:
A couple of days ago we noticed our fridge wasn’t working so I’ve just spend the morning emptying and cleaning it – loads of food now in the bin 👿
Its a large Swedish Electrolux RP1358 which we’ve had for many years. Symptom is thst power reaches the fridge (the light works) but there is no noise from the motor/pump and no cooling. At approx £500 for a new one i thought i’d find out if it could be repaired, although there are no local repair folk. Someone has suggested the thermostat could be at fault and that the motors etc on these frodges are largely trouble free.
I’ve removed the stast – its a RANCO K59 P1605.
Anyone able to advise if this symptom is indeed caused by a faulty thermostat and if so how to replace it? I can’t see yet where the long capilary tube attaches to the fridge.
any help appreciated……..
cheers
Iain
