I’m sure most of you have come across these by now. The condenser dryer ones arnt too bad to fit, a little work intense but straight forward. Is it just me or is the vented one a pig of a job? My hands look like I have just shared a handshake with Freddy Krugar. Eventually I got the thing on, but was slightly worried about slitting my wrist pulse during the fit.

assume you mean belt part no 491500303
    or the pulley kit 492204404

look on beko site and they tell you how to take dryer apart screw by screw but not how to get it back together again

not done one yet so i have that experience to come

Thanks Martin, so I need to contact Beko? is it a case of you’ve got to spend so much with them, or just a case of proving you are trade?

Wear a pair of safety gloves, after you’ve done a few they will become easier, believe it or not there is a little bit of stretch in them.

Re: Those little Beko dryer belts on the motor

Found a way to improve the fitting on the vented ones. Work the belt onto both pullies as far as you can before the need to stretch, set as far back on the motor pulley as possible (towards the motor) and attach a couple of small cable ties around and through the larger pulley (with it been a spoked pulley). This holds the small belt to the pulley and gives you more chance to work the belt on while concentrating on it not running off the motor pulley. Still a bit of a tricky job but it takes about 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the stress away. Then it’s just a case of snipping off the cable ties, releasing the motor tension spring and fitting the drum belt back. The next stage is refitting the spring which is where the safety gloves would come in.

Are you fitting the new pulley in the kit as well? It is smaller than the one on the machine.

Last one I did was a belt only fit but I have always fitted the full kit in the past.
