    Had a rare day off today but picked up a message on my mobile.
    ‘ Hi I’ve got a Creda T/D and the rear bearing is damaged
    1, Ive taken the back off already
    2 I’ve been on the internet and sourced the parts from *******(one of our competitors)
    3 What I’d like is a bit of information on how to repair it, if I can’t do it I might call you out……….message deleted.

    Strange he didn’t get the information off whoever supplied the part.

    I love the ones that have a go AFTER they book the call.
    Indesit integrated dishwasher last week, she had to have a call outside my normal times so had to sit in the van for 40 mins while she turned up. Got in the house, dishwasher out, screws on top. ‘My husband took the panels off and blew down the hoses to see if anything blocked, but now its not doing anything’

    11.30 pm , Sunday evening, regular p.i.t.a …. sorry , customer , ” Eddie , my commercial dishwasher is leaking – it wouldn’t drain so I pushed a carving knife down the drain….. I don’t want you to call out, just tell me what to do so I wont have to disturb you “;
    I did tell him what to do, and not heard from him since

    The second they tell me their husband has taken the back off I say I’m not here to help diy failures, I’m here to earn a living and hang up.
    I refuse point blank if they mess about with any appliance before they call me.

    Diy nuts are a pain, I never go out to have a go heros.

    We will go out and put right the diy failures but we charge the a bit more for all the extra work involved.

    I had one some years ago a hotpoint 1850 or something like the customer had taken the appliance totally apart cabinet off job tub off wires all over the place took all morning to put back together then tested to find it just needed motor brushes, the bill was quite a bit more than just a change of brushes would have been well a lot more in fact. They always came back to us after that wife would not let hubby any where near it .

    fella brought this in bits , i was i tears of laughter , he was only putting a
    new longer cable on it 🙂 🙂
