WHat make/models are you referring to Tony. I always repair the tracks on Hotpoint WM timers blown by interlocks with a 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate. It is normally just the first edge connection that goes, I cut the wire out of the plug and solder a short piece of wire to the nearest component leg on the damaged track then butt connect to the original wire. I have used this method on both the hybrid timer and the earlier Timer/module WM series with tracks damaged by motor brushes shorting out.

I carry (in my toolbag odds and sods compartmented box) a few varied short lengths of flexible cable with the ends prepared with solder so I’m ready for jobs like this both on timers and modules.
Where there’s a likelihood of recurrence I use 5A fuse wire in motor circuits to prevent motor blow-ups.

If you speak nicely to Tony at EMW, he will tell you where he buys the copper strips he uses to mend blown tracks on PCB edge connectors 😉
Once a small strip of the flat copper is laid over the PCB edge, you can solder a link wire to the nearest solder post on that track (i.e hard wire).
Maplins also stock the relevant bits you need and as iadom states, the success rate is about 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} (ish 😉 )

thats why I remove the wire completely from the plug, it nearly always damages the first contact in the plug.
