Hi all. Some of you may have already fitted Samsung door seals and the inner strap may be the same on earlier models, but thought I would post anyway. The inner strap is a wire type with 7mm Hexagon/Philips head self tap type bolt fitting into twisted wire thread. However after a while ( about 15 mins cause I’m not that sharp! ) I realised they have made the strap work with a scissor action, so it works back to front. So to undo the strap you tighten the screw i.e. clockwise, which scissors the strap fully open, making it easier to slide over the seal. After fitting the new seal, slide over the strap, and then undo, the screw, i.e., anti clockwise until the screw keeps slipping as it has fully unscrewed against its wire thread, setting the tension on the strap.
I took the front off the machine, just to see how it came off, but now seeing how the strap works, think you should be able to fit with front on. Hope that helps someone.
