The latter was the final straw in TJ’s downfall. All white goods retail outlets are slashing their margins to the bone in the desperate attempt of staying afloat. TJ’s low margins gambled toward quick turnover. No-one buying = no turnover. Creditors wanting their money up front v’s no cash reserve = bank pulling the plug
I agree with Martin on this, TJ Hughes have in the past sold vacuum cleaners etc cheaper than I could buy trade.They obviously banked on large turnover of stock and when it falls away…… 😈
