    Hi

I have a TKD795/3 Tecnik DW which has a very noisy motor that isnt rotating well.

I’m reasonably handy with things so got side panels off and took a look and reckon motor on last legs judging by amount of black dust from motor all over bottom and rotor is not very smooth.

I thought about replacing myself and then saw the “comet repair” offer – 125 quid including 150gbp of parts.
Of course they sent some s..thead who tried to stiff my wife for a new motor, new main circuit board (apparently change the motor you need a new circuit board), and then tried to tell her heater was gone (it hasnt).

He went off to create some cost estimate. I’ll be getting a refund it it kills me as I am not being fleeced like that.

But the question is – anybody help me with how to get access to motor on this model so I can replace myself?

It looks like I might have to lift off the bottom tray somehow as the gap from side of machine looks too small to get the motor out. That has complication of needing to disassemble the door hinge springs etc. Just wondered if someone knows the machine.

    thanks.

So anyway. Dearth of pump replacement explains on here. It’s easy.
    Unplug
Take sides off (screws are on front inside door seals).
    Take door outer off
Undo two screws on back corners of white under tray.
Undo two tiny screws about 2/3 way down each side on bars that hold main case to bottom.
    Inside:
Undo screws inside on spray arm mount under filter and remove from
Undo two screws with White retaining clips that hold under pump assy to metal case.
Door: completely remove door by removing all screws round the edge.
Now you can rock the main casing lose from base (main resistance is from then big pump filter assy at bottom with big round seal).
You will then find you need to open the now doorless door hinges one by one to prise the main casing from getting stuck on door hinges.
You should then be able to get to pump motor without comletely removing (when you are losening watch out for all pipes and floats on lhs of machine and dont bend too much)
Use your camerphone to track the wiring as you remove from motor and motor capacitor.
Undo jubilee clip on motor out pipe that connect to heating element. Prise black pipe off.
Wiggle pump input from filter housing and it will come free.

    Buy pump.
    Refit.
