Hi everyone, iv’e recently started up on my own and i was hoping you guys could give me some ideas on what to keep as stock, i dont want to blow a load of cash on something i dont need that will be sitting in the van for months but i’m realising that there are some parts that i will use a lot of , any suggestions would be good because at the minute every penny counts and i want a long and succesfull career and not go down in a ball of flames fuelled by a van full of useless stock

    Cheers Ian 😀

How long is a piece of string.

Depends on what you can repair.

Plus thats half the skill of being successfull, there is no magic list.

You`ll need to walk on your own two feet on this one.

One approach is to order 2 when you need 1 but only for common makes and only if the price seems OK. I usually do this if I don’t have the correct belt, hinge, handle, pump, interlock, carbons etc. You will get bombarded with special offer leaflets by the suppliers and these can be useful if you need to build up your order value to get free delivery. Often the discounted parts are popular lines but you do need to establish which makes are popular in your area. For example, I often see questions about Samsung appliances but I’ve never seen one round here.
